It's a 8"x8" acrylic on canvas painting.
A few other new things in my artist's life are that I joined the North Grenville Artists Guild and I may become a member of the executive of the Manotick Art Association (voting is in March). My friends would say "as if you have time for that!" but I think it's a good way to make art a bigger part of my life. Sleep is over-rated right :) ?
Happy Painting!
Lots of great energy! I like it.
ReplyDeleteThis one really made me smile, Catharine. I love the idea of a crooked house, which would probably be on a crooked mile, right? I looked over your whole blog and I love the vibe of your work. Refreshing, thought-provoking and innovative. Glad you're on DSFDF now!
ReplyDeleteWonderful painting, Catharine! Very fun.
ReplyDeleteI love your version of the Victorian, bravo!
ReplyDeleteCatharine, I think the dark outlines are my favorite part but I just love this overall, it really is a fun one to look at. Have you seen Bruce Docker's work? You might enjoy it, it has some of this same feeling occasionally but with brighter colors usually. Great job, and thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Very vibrant and full of life!
ReplyDeleteI love your wavy victorian! Great colors, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd cheers to you Catharine-fellow-Canadian! This is a great version of the San Fran house. I just checked out your blog and etsy shop. You are creating some really cool art (I dig your collages). Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWow, I love this! It looks like a stained glass window. Great take on a "not so exciting" photo to work from.
